The Texas Carbon Capture and Storage Association (“TxCCSA”) is a non-profit industry association advocating for policies that support the development of a commercial CCS industry in Texas and promoting energy independence through increasing environmentally responsible fuel production in Texas. We seek the growth and commercialization of the CCS industry through market-based laws, regulations and incentives that support private sector investment.
Our primary purposes are to: (i) educate Texas policymakers about the commercial CCS industry; (ii) inform our members about policy, legal, regulatory and technical developments related to CCS through information sharing and analysis; (iii) help commercial enterprises position themselves to take advantage of carbon management policies adopted by regulators and actors in private markets; (iv) promote the beneficial uses of CO2 particularly CO2 for EOR; and (v) promote energy independence strategies.
